WELCOME.

I'm Amanda and I'm a walking contradiction. I crave spontaneity but can’t enjoy it without planning to a T. I'm an extrovert with introverted tendencies who thrives on being with my clients. I love rich, bold imagery that exudes emotion, connection, and warmth.

I live in Katy, TX, with a movie star looking mutt named Penny, a sweet rescue named Sophie, a 8 year old master of chaos who goes by Marley, and a 6 year old hunk we call Sawyer, who happens to outweigh the eldest. I’ve explored many avenues—including retail graphic design, corporate marketing, and secondary education. But my passion and preference lie with my first love—photography.

My photo journey began as a high school senior with the overly skeptical E-Bay purchase of a $100 Pentax K1000. I continued my film exploration throughout all 12 years of college with a strictly traditional darkroom focus and major in Photography. It wasn't until 2009 on a trip to Spain that I picked up my first DSLR to document Don Quixote’s windmills and (amidst controversy) a Spanish bull fight. Fast forward 6 years with the birth of my daughter (yep, Miss Marley mentioned above) and that's where Dear Marlowe began.

My hobbies include asking my friends for advice and never taking it, starting a new DIY project before I finish the last, trying to wear too many hats at once, and creating beautiful portraits for families to cherish all the days.

I am so happy to serve as your your Houston Newborn Photographer and Houston Maternity Photographer.
