There is simply something magical that happened during this Houston outdoor maternity session (no, not hot flashes and potty breaks...although, those are almost as magical when you're pushing 9 months, amiright, mamas?!). The perfect ratio of golden light, paired with the cutest couple a pregnancy photographer could ask for (not to mention the most stylish), and a killer location—featuring none other than your beloved Texas Bluebonnets—ahhhh, pure joy. This Houston, TX maternity session checks all the boxes and then some.
When you're a Houston maternity photographer who specialized in outdoor maternity sessions, you don't get much of a break when it comes to picture perfect weather (read: less than center of the earth temps). The one week a year when it happens to be less than 80° just so happened to partner up with the few short weeks we had THE most perfect wildflowers in bloom here in Houston. Normally, you need to drive to parts like Brenham and beyond for these prized bluebonnets, but this year, we stumbled upon miles and miles of a scenic floral field just a few minutes from our very own own backyard.
As a Houston maternity photographer, my outdoor maternity sessions are all about backlight, connection, comfort (yes, I'm talking to you, mama-to-be), and details. If you're anything like me, the last thing you want during those final few months of misery....errr, I mean, motherhood, is having your picture taken. I can tell you from experience, YOU WILL REGRET NOT HAVING YOUR PICTURE TAKEN. Here's a little tidbit, ladies. You don't have to be near full-term. I took my pregnancy photos with my second baby at 16 weeks. SIX. TEEN. WEEKS. Why? Because by mid-pregnancy, I look like I'm having triplets, possibly, quadruplets. I'm not kidding. Ask my friends. They'll tell ya, then we'll laugh about it. If you're still hesitant about how you'll look on camera, I can promise you, as your Houston maternity photographer, I WILL make you feel AND look your most beautiful. I know about angles. I know posing. And baby girl, I KNOW photoshop. All jokes aside, I want you to look like your best you.
